Dororon Enma-kun Meeramera episode 12: "Until we Meet Again"

"If he loses, mankind will be wiped out!"

"Why the hell would hats have to pee?"

The final episode of Dororon is a fitting finale for such a zany series. Things begin with a race that's very similar to something out of Mario Kart. For a moment, I thought that the big battle King Enma mentioned might actually be a series of sporting events, but this race turned out to be a red herring. It was kind of funny how the the anime went out of its way to mislead the viewer and Harumi here, and it was cool to see the short race nonetheless.

The battle is set, and the matches between Hell and Heaven are as follows: Enma vs. Princess Plume, Yuki vs. Kekko Honey, Kapperu vs. Susanoo, Enbi vs. Mark, and Harumi vs. Poverty God. All of the Hell competitors lose quite quickly, before they power up with the aid of some of King Enma's trash. Yes, you read that correctly. After our "good" guys power up, the Heaven fighters do the same, and we're right back to square one. After a short while, only Enma is left for the Hell team.

Everything boils down to Enma going berserk and beating all of Heaven, but strangely, he's still wearing his circlet. Yuki calms Enma down with a kiss, else he will destroy the whole planet, and this is when Enma loses the circlet. So what do you think would happen now? In typical Dororon logic, the circlet was holding back a hidden power of Enma's, only it was his power of love. Again, yes, you read that correctly.

Eventually, Enma's parents appear from the circlet in a blinding light and restore the circlet upon his head, stopping the massive love orgy that is ensuing all over the world. The Demon Patrol's mission is done, so they return to Hell, leaving Harumi behind. The ending is bittersweet, but it's all in good spirits. I do hope they pay Harumi a visit from time to time, though.

Dororon was a lot of fun, as was this episode. It won't change the way you feel about anime, and it's not a must-see series, but I enjoyed my time with it. A full series review will be coming shortly, so look forward to it. I will also try to get squeeze out some extra content from this series, as well. Thanks for following along with me. Hope you had as much fun as I did with the series.

"The Demon Patrol's mission is complete!"

"I'll never forget about those saviors from below."
