Gungrave [Animated Series]

This is a series I need to find time to rewatch as it has a constant dark presence over your typical quiet hero protagonist. It is similar to Berserk as far as personality and the theme it aims for. From the creators of Trigun I can see their style in some of the concept design. A worthwhile series that stands well on its own separate from Trigun.

Brandon Heat and his friend Harry are orphans on the streets surviving by thieving and other means. They soon gain the attention of high rise gangsters and gradually move up the chain of command. Throughout the series we see their friendship tested and evolve to become something neither of them truly saw coming. Betrayal is the main theme, but the series also includes survival through gaining power and the question of how long before it finally corrupts.

30 NIGHTS OF NIGHT, Night 6: THE SHINING (1980)

I've just rewatched The Shining for the first time in about ten years. The first time I saw it I was a kid, and I didn't quite get it; it was my first Stanley Kubrick film, and I hadn't quite learned how to watch one yet.I gave it another go as a teenager, after having seen and loved Kubrick's other work, and warmed to it more. Now I've seen it a third time, and I'm ready to say it's one of the most terrifying films I've ever seen.

It's also the first time I've seen it after reading Stephen King's novel on which it's based.King is one of the film's toughest critics, had disagreements with Kubrick while it was being made, still insists that it does not represent his own vision, and scripted his own version (a TV miniseries starring Steven Weber) in 1998.

Grumble, grumble..........grumble

So what exactly is bothering me these days?

I've got a pain in my neck, quite literally. I have no idea what happened but it hurts so horribly that I find it hard to walk sometimes. So no sudden movements for me these days.

Post Visitation by the First Feral Family

09-24-2013

Recovery from a four day First Feral Family visitation. That is, my perp-abetting mother came to visit, after I visited her and my out-of-town brother and family in Kamloops. A four day weekend in effect, first driving there, and then two days of her visiting me in Penticton.

A bit of gangstalked shopping while on my way back from the vineyard. And for all the day, there were plenty of planted ideations about not sufficient work over November though January, a new (planted IMHO) theme all week.

Dragon's Crown patch 1.4 is up.

The latest patch continues to refine character abilities and stats and allows cross-play between players on PS3 and Vita.

For me, of course, the most important thing was checkin' out how my Amazon has fared, as recent patches have all but obliterated her trademark ability, Berserk - which allows her initially slow, swooping axe swings to build to a flurry of heavy-hitting speed the longer she attacks without being knocked down.

#Trends, #Fifty Shades, #ChristianGrey, and #IanSomerhalder: Who will get the part?

What's this week? #Monday is hot. I have no idea why since it shows up regularly after Sunday every week. is easily understandable if you cross reference and are making a splash because they have to recast the lead male role. Not there there wasn't enough hype when they first announced they were looking for the perfect . My personal choice from the beginning has been , () and if you agree vote . although with his busy schedule, I wonder if things would be any different.

How different is casting from writing the original description of the character? I imagine my next main character in theseries (vampire/berserker)in the beginning of the book, looking somewhat like in this photo:(Click to see the trailer)

The Walking Dead, Season 4, Episode 3, 'Isolation': review

The Walking Dead comic series creator Robert Kirkman wrote this week's episode, "Isolation," and that bit of information colored the one overwhelming action moment. As Darryl, Michonne, Tyreese, and Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gilliard Jr., getting the screen time with Cutty he didn't have on The Wire) journey to a veterinary college 50 miles away in search of antibiotics, they encounter a massive array of walkers blocking the road as far as they can see. Like the mass of undead that descended upon Herschel's farm, a chain reaction started by a helicopter flyover, this is a seemingly insurmountable wave making its way slowly but surely toward the already weakened prison defences.

Kirkman's comic perpetually offers glimmers of hope, of survival to fight another day, but not permanent resolution. By and large, teasing something positive, a solution to a major or minor problem, hints at a positive outcome before thudding back to earth in misery. The trajectory of hope in the world of The Walking Dead recalls Louis CK's : "Why the fuck would anything nice ever happen? What are you, stupid?"

New York Comic Con

1. I attended New York Comic Con this past weekend, with a press pass. I had a great time even though I didn't hit any panels. I wanted to get into the screening for the third "Berserk" movie, but sadly I didn't make it in. But I got to meet up with some friends, meet some creators I admire... and creators I hold nothing but contempt for. For example, I can confirm that Rob Liefeld does indeed possess feet... I wasn't sure.

2. Christopher Jones, who drew the third issue of "Gargoyles: Bad Guys" and the "Young Justice" comic book drew me a beautiful Demona. I already have a Mike McKone Demona and a Greg Guler Demona. I do have this insane hope to one day have every great comic book artist draw her. I'd love a Mark Bagley Demona, or if Hell freezes over, a John Romita Demona.

My Review of Blood C

Disclaimer: This reivew contains some spoilers, and since they tie in directly with my most imnportant points about the show, I won't be hiding them. Read with discretion.

Blood C (2011)

Agents of SHIELD 1/6

There is so much that can be said about Marvel's new show Agents of SHIELD. And so here I am to say all I can. This will be a series of blogs that spans six posts, assuming Wikipedia is correct in that there will be a total of 22 episodes. The format will simply be a synopses and review of four episodes at a time, so this will end up being posted about once a month (unless they keep making us wait two weeks between episodes like they are right now).

Episode One (9.24.13): The pilot. Or, as I like to call it "Coulson Lives!" Yes, that is correct, Coulson survived his fight in The Avengers and lived to die another day. And now we get to sit back and watch as he developsand scratch our heads and wonder how the hell he survived. The most cohesive explanation (thanks internet) seems to be that he faked his death as a form of motivation for The Avengers to get their shit done, and then was put into hiding (sent on a long vacation) until his next assignment - which he is currently fulfilling with SHIELD. In this first episode, we learn about the hacktivist group Rising Tide, and a key player in the group, Skye, who lives in her van. We also learn of Project Centipede, which takes humans with special abilities (like Mike Peterson in this episode who seemed to have incredible, hulk like strength - though he doesn't turn green) and enhances those abilities to make them super human. We later learn that these human experiments being done by Project Centipede are exploding (literally, in a ball of fire) due to a glitch in their planning. The SHIELD team essentially abducts Skye for questioning after she tries to talk to Mike, and unsuccessfully tries to convince him to let her help him. Then, Mike abducts her. There's a crazy scene where everybody is yelling and has guns, and everyone could die if just one thing goes wrong. Then the bad guys go down, Skye gets invited to join SHIELD and everyone lives happily ever after. WAIT! This isn't Disney. That happily ever after shit doesn't exist here. Nope, they get a call for an 0-8-4 and head on to their next task, while most disagree with Coulson about bringing Skye on board (literally, cuz they have a big ass plane that gets them around everywhere). And Lola, oh don't get me started about Lola. She is beautiful. She's Coulson's car, but damn is she pretty.**for more information on how I concluded Coulson's 'death' check out: http://screenrant.com/agents-of-shield-tv-coulson-death-explained-spoilers/2/

Episode Two (10.1.13): 0-8-4. In this episode, the SHIELD team is sent to Peru to investigate an 0-8-4 (an object of unknown origin). Once they arrive, they find that it is actually a piece of Hydra technology that is powered by Tesseract energy. While in the area, they have to constantly be concerned by rebels. They eventually run into Coulson's old ally Camilla Reyes, and her crew. They team together to obtain the Hydra technology, and fight off the rebels while rushing to seek refuge on the SHIELD plane. Once on board, and in the air, Reyes and her crew betray Coulson and try to take over, and take the Hydra technology for themselves to fight of the rebels in Peru. There is a big fight on board, the plane is brutally damaged, but the SHIELD team finally learns how to work together and utilize all of their individual skills. They win, of course. And then, scene swap: Skye gets a text from someone within Rising Tide, and she confirms her alliance to them! Jerk. And then, scene swap: Coulson is being yelled at for the damage to their plane, by none other than Nick Fury! Yes, at this moment I did, in fact, jump up out of my chair screaming (my neighbors on the third floor probably heard me) "Holy shit he's back!!!!" Then I sat back down just in time to hear him tell Coulson that having Skye with them poses a great threat.

In case you didn't know...

For as long as I can remember, I've always been surrounded by animals.Growing up we had both cats and dogs.

I am not sure when my love for cats started exactly, but I think it may have been around the time that my Mom found Keanu (yes, named after the actor, Keanu Reeves) on Nimitz highway in Honolulu.Keanu (nicknamed Nunu) was a sweet cat... he was an absolute lover. He was black and white and was classified as a domestic short hair.

Nunu joined our family which at the time included my sisters cat, Pookie, and my Mom's dog Whitney.Everyone got along great. We had a lanai on the back of the house we were living in and he loved hanging out there. He'd watch the birds and just enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian weather. When my Dad got his orders to transfer out of Hawaii, we were only allowed to take 2 animals with us.Nunu had been diagnosed with kidney issues and we feared that making a trip cross country wouldn't be good for him so we adopted him out.I miss him and find myself wondering how he fared.

Epic Fantasies in Anime

Because of how complex the epic stories are it's hard to find series in this style and even less that are really good because many times they overdo it having a very pretentious tone or making them too complex and hard to watch. Fortunately I'll recommend you two series that have all in its stories in just measure balancing thes tories between personal and epic developing a fantastic world vaery fascinating and complete. These two series are Berserk and Juni Kokki which despite telling stories with different goal they share a memorable story and characters developed in detail.

BERSERK

31 DAYS OF FRIGHT: ADAM CHAPLIN

One of the problems with publishing annually is knowing just when to put on the brakes. With each passing week and trip to the PO Box the review section for ER #52 grows and grows and grows, threatening to push the zine (and its humble editor) to its limits.

But some flicks just can't wait for the printed page. Some flicks can't be contained. Some flicks plead to be unleashed on an unsuspecting viewing public as soon as possible.

Story Time With Abba Bui 1(The day I went to fight with Santa)

Hey guys this is Abba Bui and I am starting a new series every Thursday called Story Time With Abba Bui which is basically me telling you random stories. Today I am going to tell you about the time I started a fight with Santa Claus. I remember the year was 19blahblahblah and I was a young boy when Agent 005 and I were robbing a candy store and we had all the candy in the world until Christmas day when Santa stole all our candy and put us on the naughty list. I went berserk and hijacked Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and forced him to fly me to the North Pole to find Santa. I ran into Santa's workshop and said "Santa, take this," and I threw some Christmas tree leaves at him. Santa just starred at me and replied "Why thank you young child." Santa then slapped me and we both started to slap each other before Santa took a baseball bat and hit me all the way back to my house. For the rest of the day I just stayed at home watching TV. That was my story everybody and tune in next time as me and Easter Corgi talk about the time we saw a ghost in Halloween.

City Break

TIMELINE: 17 - 18 August 2013

After a blissful vacation in Bali it was incredibly tough to come home and get back into the swing of things.Thank goodness my post vacation depression would be short-lived as I had two, really fantastic things to look forward to.Firstly, it was Korea's Independence Day on 15 August, which meant I only had a 4 day week.Secondly, that coming weekend I was going to one of the biggest rock festivals in Korea - Hyundai Card Super Concert 19 City Break!

Save the Adventure (14)

If the modern, rationalized social order leaves you dissatisfied, perhaps it's because you are the reincarnation/heir of ancient warriors. The past, in stories like the ones listed below, is a source of energy and strength. Folk legends, ballads, myths, and epics are reinhabited, if only temporarily; I call this type of adventure story the Atavistic Epic (it's also known as the "Sagaman"-type adventure, though that term is specific to Nordic or Germanic atavism) -- though of course they are not actually epics. They flirt, in a retrogressive and romantic way, with the epic form.

So, there is a slight possibility pretty high chance I completely blanked this show out in a fit of alcohol-induced stupor since I originally watched the pilot episode.

Battle Report: Grey Company v. Arm of the Angrenost

Dear Reader,

This is Centaur with another battle report! So, I owe you all an apology: it's been almostsince my last battle report. :(I suppose I could blame scheduling craziness on the part of myself and my gaming buddies, but the truth is I've just been woefully lax in putting up battle reports recently.I hope to change this as we prepare for thein four weeks!

Revisiting Magic: Ringwraiths in LOTR SBG

For our readership who is aware of our upcoming tournament, I wanted to take some time to talk about magic in the army that I'm taking to the tournament. I've decided to do this (showing part of my hand for the tournament) for two reasons: first, the strategy I've developed for using magic against conventional forces is more an issue of artistry than anything else and I want to offer this up to the blogosphere for critique. Second, I spent a few minutes during my last game at the talking about magic theory with a buddy of mine who hadn't played against magic very much and needed my honest opinion about whether to attempt to resist a spell or not. Instead of having this discussion in every round, I figured I'd get my general strategy on the table now.

A Day That Celebrates Friends

I have decided that I love Fridays at work, for the reasons that you'd expect, but more because it's fairly quiet around the office. We used to have a lot of Friday classes in my department, but then when cuts to the Fall schedule were demanded, many Friday classes were cancelled. In the past, when our numbers were different and we had to add extra sections, I often could only find classroom space on Fridays. But now, life is different at my school.

I know that I shouldn't like a quiet day.It means we don't have student demand, and we know that this trajectory leads us to a place we don't want to be.But for now, I'm enjoying the peace.

Even by Decepticon standards, Blitzwing is totally insane. He's got three personalities packed into his cyberium-steel chassis, and he argues with himself almost as often as he argues with other Decepticons. The only person he listens to without interrupting is Megatron, because all three of his personalities are terrified of the Decepticon commander. He carries a superheater cannon and a hyberfrost emitter to burn or freeze his enemies. Add Decepticon power to your collection with this advanced-conversion, triple-change robot-to-vehicle figure. Detailed robot mode features three quick-switching faces, and can then be converted to tank mode with rotating turrets, or into its third mode, fighter jet. Blast missile projectiles from all three modes and plan your strategy for this Decepticon Berserker character. This figure comes with 2 missile projectiles.

My review of Saiyuki

Around this time last year, I'd been trying to jam my head full of a bunch of anime that I haven't seen yet. In early september, I made my first ever anime suggestions thread, asking the AMC community to give me a few suggestions. This could be considered a bad idea, because it lead to me watching Black Butler, but I digress.

One of my long time friends from the Friends Chat forum, who I believe I may have been married to at one point, began insisting that I watch a personal favorite of hers, a long-running anime called Saiyuki. I relented, and she sent me the link for a three episode OVA called Saiyuki Burial. And to put it as nicely as possible, I didn't enjoy it. Of course, since it was a prequel, which is the kind of thing you should NEVER watch first, I decided to dive headfirst into the real thing. I had a week left until my next few shows were set to arrive in the mail, so I decided to spend that week watching the original series of Saiyuki.

'Well, you could go and live in caravans': bulldozed

Families whose houses are to be demolished to make way for the government's controversial high speed HS2 rail link are outraged after being told they could live in mobile homes.Residents of the picturesque hamlet of Weeford in Staffordshire were stunned when a senior property acquisitions manager told them 'You could live in caravans' at a meeting between villagers and HS2 Limited.Their village has been earmarked for demolition to make way for the EUR43 billion route meaning dozens of residents living on green belt land could have their homes reduced to rubble.Residents of Weeford, in Staffordshire, which will be razed to make way for HS2, were told to live in caravansAccountant Jonathan Loescher is furious at being told to live in a caravan by an HS2 representativePlanned route: The black line shows how HS2 would dissect the village'Am I supposed to run my accountancy business from a caravan with my sheep and ducks?', Mr Loescher saidStunning countryside: The high-speed rail link will go past the pretty hamlet of Weeford in StaffordshireVillagers had said they wanted to remain living together as a community, replicating their village elsewhere in the area. But for that to happen they needed all 12 of the homes to be demolished, so they could obtain planning permission to build in a green belt area. This summer HS2 Ltd committed to demolishing all of the houses, clearing the way for the community to approach Lichfield District Council for planning permission for replacement homesHowever the rail company has now stalled, telling anxious residents they may have to wait at least three years before a final decision will be made.

More...And at a meeting on Friday, the suggestion was put to villagers that they could live in caravans until then.Today locals living in the hamlet, where the average price of a property is EUR600,000, reacted with anger to the suggestion made at Friday's meeting that they should live in caravans.Accountant and smallholder Jonathan Loescher, who lives in a detached house in the village near Tamworth, said: 'Am I supposed to run my accountancy business from a caravan and keep my sheep, ducks, turkeys and chickens in the caravan with me?Place of worship: St Mary's Church in the hamlet will see its entire community relocated from their homesThe end is nigh: Many of the village's houses (average price EUR600,000) will be demolished for the new rail lineAround half of the hamlet's 12 homes are currently destined to be knocked down while the others will overlook the line'HS2 Ltd and the Government are completely out of touch with the problems residents affected by the scheme are going though.

My Last Foray into Hellsing

The Hellsing TV series is one of the most enjoyable anime one can watch. The characters, particularly Alucard, Fr. Anderson, and Lady Integra (I shall refer to her as Lady Integra.Calling her Sir Integra is too confusing.), display a great degree of panache. The fights keep the viewer on the edge of their seats as we eagerly await the humiliation of the wicked. The manga was similarly enjoyable until I read volumes 7 and 8.

Now, I must state here that Hellsing contains an incredible degree of gore and violence-second only to Berserk among what I have perused.I could not read through the first volume of the latter nor of the former on my first attempt. Then, after college and age had rendered my soul a little more callous, I read the first six volumes in a couple of days to discover that the website holding the scanlations deleted the manga chapters on the third day.And so, it was not until recently that I decided to give Hellsing another try.

The Last Wave

Peter Weir's The Last Wave is an engrossing, quasi-mystery, quasi-fantasy, quasi-horror, quasi-science fiction film. If all those "quasis" make you a little queasy, that is completely appropriate. Made with unquestionable skill and imagination, it also undeniably offers a strained effort at profundity that skirts the risible as often as it hits home. It is enjoyable as long as you don't think about it too much or too long. Unfortunately, Weir obviously takes things very seriously, striving for Art and often falling short of the mark.

Richard Chamberlain is a corporate attorney who accepts a pro bono defense of a group of aborigines accused of murder. They nonetheless are notably reluctant to help him get at the truth of events. As Chamberlain tries to persuade their leader, Chris (David Gulpilil, from Roeg's Walkabout) to talk, the weather is going berserk. Hail storms in the Outback, petroleum from the sky, and in-between it all, nearly constant rain that no one can explain, provide the backdrop to the unfolding story. In the process of trying to figure out the murder, Chamberlain gets caught in a far deeper mystery that explains the freakish weather.

Heroic in Norrath

I took a little time away from fretting over the logistics of getting to look at SOE's new idea for EverQuest II.

The SOE plan is to sell level 85 "heroic" characters for the low, low price of 3,500 Station Cash. (~$35 at the normal cost of SC, but as little as ~$12 if you wait for one of those Triple SC sales.)They are selling them right now. And, for the moment, they are also giving away free samples.Between now and at least October 15th you can test drive a heroic character for free.

That was the day I decided to embark on a journey towards becoming a happier, healthier me.I had a plan, and a goal of losing 30 lbs. before my 30th birthday on July 28th.

Growing Up with Sachin

It's been almost a week now that the greatest cricketer of our times, and arguably of all times, announced that he has decided to hang his boots. This was one of those rare occasions when every single Indian and every single person in the world who knows this great man, has a strong reaction to the news. Media went berserk showing clippings of the master's 24 years of illustrious career, right from the time he held his bat in the test match against Pakistan. Times of India dedicated a separate four and a half pages section on the legend, excluding the front page. Everyone, from movie stars to politicians, had reactions around how un-crickety, cricket would become without the GOD. Quotes from sports giants like Brian Lara, Matthew Hayden, Waquar Younis and the greatest Sir Donald Bradman to politicians like Barack Obama, kept flashing wherever you go - TV, facebook, twitter, newspapers.

While there is a generation of Indians who have seen Sachin rise from a 16-year old boy who played good cricket to the GOD of the game, there is a generation of Indians that grew up along with this 16 year old boy (who, by the way, is still of the same age at heart). My existence on earth was just 3 years, 4 months and 21 days before the little master made his debut against the killer Pakistani attack of Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Imran Khan and Abdul Qadir. My interest in cricket started from the 1996 World Cup, after watching Tendulkar's innings against Sri Lanka in the league matches. Since then, I have identified the game with the legend. It is actually hard to imagine the Indian team without him when you have seen him in that blue dress ever since you started following the game.

Now here's the complete nasty version for you.

The man from the island

Sometimes at dusk we would see him come out from the hidden interiors of his island. For years we never knew who he was or what he did until one night we decided to have a stake out and watch. It was a slow night until he arrived on his boat, he was accompanied by three other strangers. My friends and I have never seen them. They were each fairly similar in shape and size, but one of them was standing out. He was inhumanely formed, almost like a wolf. From what we could tell he was standing on his hind legs, had fur, and was much taller and lanker then them. The misshaped creature had a very ominous tattoo as well on his arm. It was of a moon that was outlining a wolf. They treated him like he was a dog , like he was just a pet or something. They soon sailed back into the island and so we left as well.

The next morning I got up like it was a usual day, took a shower, brushed my teeth and ate breakfast. I gave my buddy's a call and they swung by my house. We all discussed the night before and came up with a conclusion, we were just seeing things, imagining things. They were just four men having a conversation, nothing more nothing less. So we decided to go and get lunch, we stopped and got a table at this new restaurant. The waiter let us order our food and while it was being made I went to the bathroom. I was washing my hands when someone walked in, it was the man from the island. He started asking me questions like, "What were you doing last night?" "Were you with your friends?", "What did you see?". Of course I said I had no idea what he was talking about, so he shoved me and left.

Monster Hunter 4 Story Complete!

So anyways, completed the main story to the game. Of course, there is plenty of stuff to do left, but I beat the last boss and the credits rolled, so I wanted to go ahead and write an article. I'll try to introduce a bit of the game, to the best of my beginner Monster Hunter knowledge.

Oh, and of course, story spoilers (I'll try to leave a blank before them)

And fairly long article

September 2013

As I've mentioned before, I simply can't review every Asian movie I've seen otherwise all my free time would be taken up with writing so what I'll try and do is give a brief list of movies for a month that I've seen and just give a rating for it. They won't include the movies I've given a review. Without further ado, here's the September 2013 list:

Geek Culture in Therapy: Tabletop and video games

This is part of a multi-entry series covering each class of Geek Culture in Therapy, a course at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, which aims to help therapists embrace the healing qualities of geek culture.

Playing games can be a great way to both strengthen rapport with clients as well as provide fun, memorable opportunities to learn desired skills. In this week's class, we examined ways to help kids and teens develop social skills through gaming, beginning with a discussion about gaming personalities and concluding with an excellent tabletop game and a wildly popular video game.

Summer 2013 Anime Log Wrap-Up!

And so the Summer wraps up, as does my Summer anime viewing. For those who weren't , I decided to start following airing anime in Japan by season, because that's a thing anime nerds do nowadays. I'll be starting up the Fall series soon here, but wrapping up the Summer comes first.

I picked a total of seventeen series to follow, as listed here.

Transformers Animated Voyager

Priest

Read this early on and it was fairly interesting. I thought this did better than the Berserk manga (after the Golden Arc). It is fairly violent, but not extremely graphic (like Berserk), and the plot is better developed. The art style is consistent so thank goodness for that. All in all it is something similar to the previously mentioned series, but with a different back story and much stronger delivery overall.

We follow a man on the quest for vengeance against God or rather those who claim to be servants of God. Fanatics, who ruined his life and made him suffer to the point of madness. He carves his path through what is mostly a western setting with some European influence. Leaving in his wake destruction, but always moving toward the enemy.

The villains and the main character's back story will be the main draw for this series and the mild twisted fictional connection to Christianity. The art looks gritty and American/European, you wouldn't think that the art is actually Korean, so it goes really well with the English translation.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust [Animated Movie]

Having seen the first movie I thought I was being spoiled, but after having seen this I saw that animators were holding out on me. I wish they could do a lot of animation like this. It is so similar to Ninja Scroll in terms of quality I would not be surprised the animators and directors are one and the same.

In Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust the main character simply named, D, is doing his standard thing moving through the ages, a dhampir (half vampire and half human), hunting beasts, but mainly specializing in vampires in which there are plenty. This particular story gives a wider view of his world and the range of characters is astounding. We meet everything from other hunters and a variety of demons.

Beatles Secret Messages???? Hey, Where Was Edward Snowden and Wikileaks On This One?

Oh sure, everybody's paying attention to all the stuff Wikileaks and Edward Snowden have leaked out about government spying and female celebrities that stuff their bras, but do ya ever hear anything about this latest revelation about the Beatles? NO!

I'm talking about the story Yahoo published on the Internet the other day about those secret messages contained in a lot of the Beatles songs. Who the hell knows what kind of subversive messages were contained in those songs.

// caution! GRAVITY movie spoiler alert!

I just want to say that the GRAVITY movie sucks ass. It should be renamed to Foolish White Woman Who Kills George Clooney While Floating Around in Space. I mean, seriously. Do we really need another movie with a weak female lead who can't drive, can't propel herself in space, can't do anything right and can't even find the damn will to live without a dead George Clooney making a reappearance halfway through the movie just to give her a nudge in the right direction? The scene where she'd rather remove all her suits and take a nap instead of chasing after George Clooney made me SOOOO angry, especially since she was so sorry and sad after that because George died. Well, maybe you shouldn't have decided to do yoga in space before saving one of America's sexiest men alive, right? Right.

Wanna Be the Strongest! Episode 01

If you read the title... then you already know why this is here. Because that is everything wrong with everything.

I mean, heck, I did a little bit of research on this one before I decided to throw it on the pile of crap. Admittedly not a lot of research mind you, but research nonetheless. Research that was limited only to the absolute WORST promotional video I've ever seen. It is literally a full minute of the main character struggling, her face so close to the camera you can't really tell what's going on. Also, she's giving you the most lewd cries that you can possibly imagine.

Summer Stream: Fate/Kaleid liner Prisma Illya episode 10 and final thoughts

The battle with Beserker draws to a close and the first arc ends with Myu and Illya now the closest of friends, and back to the funny school hijinx of the first few epsidoes and it's also nice to see an alternite universe where Kiri and Iri are at least given some kind of happy ending also the animation is supirb with the big team up battle in wich Myu and Illya combine there powers to defeat Berserker is done epicly sadlly still no Ulimted Blade Works Cahnt but this first season had some choppy moments in wich the humor and drma felt un concected and a little lost toward the middle. Overall this has a roght ballance of hmour and can be enjoyed by MAgical girl fans, people who like Moe but esepically Fate/stay addicts. Also Rin and Luvia getting sutck in Japan was great becuese ther back and forth was fun in so many ways. A series that shows it's possible to juggle idealism and cynicism in a post-Madoka Magical Girl universe now I'll just have to wait for season two but this was so good I'm glad I stayed with it.

Ashi Highlights: Berserk Golden Age Arc

Link to the Gallery:

There is a terrible lack of foot views in the Golden Age Arc movies TT but there are a nice amount of nude scenes with some details closer to Hentai genre.

Surely these movies are a more mature and gore version ofthe "Berserk" anime series of 26 episodes (talking about the 3rd movie: the rape of Casca is longer and the scene where Guts cuts his arms more detailed and gore). Seeing this "special case" I post directly not only the foot views, but even the screencaps with nude content. The only relevant foot views are these: Casca's bare feet:and the only relevant "foot view" related to Slan:

16. Summer's Over

The heat wave that had Belling Harbor grinding to a halt is long past. The city has been settling back into a damp, mild normality. Where the nights were getting dark at 10, it's become 9, and then 8. A 7 o'clock dusk is almost on the horizon. That's not so bad though; the changing colours of Autumn are beautiful in the dusk light. At least that's what Matilda told Robbie last night when he was walking her home from work.

Just a week ago Robbie saw the first uniforms of the season. A pair of young teenagers from the only all-girl Catholic school in the city. He wasn't ashamed to admit that he didn't envy the poor kids.

'Dancing with the Stars' week 5 rankings: Snooki, Corbin Bleu close in on Amber Riley

Another week, and another edition of our "" rankings to try and pick over. Is there a favorite to win this show? You know it, and it's someone who we have ranked #1 for the entire season. The only debate this time comes in the bottom of the pack, where there are a number of dancers who could all be in trouble depending on the always-unknown factor known as audience voted. Since they've hidden behind that dreaded "in jeopardy" label, there really is no telling who is in danger, and who the producers are just tricking by putting them there (On a personal note, we like knowing a bottom two, just since it gives you a little more knowledge.)

Our rankings, as per always, are a combination of dance ability, personality, edit on the show, and fan base size all rolled into one number. We've picked the last three eliminations correctly, but this is one we are a little bit unsure about.

The Ancient Heathen Afterlife (Not as Simple as you Think)

Perhaps due to my involvement in the Heathen community, combined with my open ties to Loki, I often get asked the question: "Who will you be fighting for at Ragnar kr?". Usually I get a confused look on my face and answer "Nobody". The widespread idea of two different afterlives being on opposing sides of an apocalyptic final battle (where immortal beings all end up dying somehow) has always smacked of Medieval Christian influence to me, and it's an idea I've largely rejected. For when you look at our surviving (sort of) primary sources and folklore, ideas of the afterlife were not as cut and dry as we think they were.

Vinland Saga, Vol. 1

BY MAKOTO YUKIMURA. RELEASED IN JAPAN AS TWO SEPARATE VOLUMES BY KODANSHA, SERIALIZED IN THE MAGAZINES WEEKLY SHONEN MAGAZINE, THEN AFTERNOON. RELEASED IN NORTH AMERICA BY KODANSHA COMICS.

At last, after years of fans begging for a license, we have one of the most anticipated titles of the year. Makoto Yukimura was released over here previously with his sci-fi garbage scow series Planetes, but that was another "critically acclaimed poor seller" that fans love and publishers hate. Nevertheless, the author's skill is demonstrable in that series, and his art and storytelling have only improved since then. This tale of Thorfinn, a reluctant Viking warrior/prisoner-of-war and his tragic backstory is absolutely riveting, and makes you yearn for the next book in the series to come out so you can read on. Honestly, if it weren't already in an omnibus (a handsome, hardcover one, by the way, looking very nice), I'd feel even more impatient.
