Surprise! Dragon's Crown got awesomer again.

That is one confident and determined Elf.

Patch 1.05 - the last planned patch for Dragon's Crown, dropped today. It's a big'un, with a new difficulty level, a new twist on the randomized Chaos Labyrinth and a level cap that dwarfs the current game.

Choosing Ultimate difficulty in the temple raises the level cap to 255, but also levels every enemy in every (regular) dungeon to 255.To level your character up to the point that you can hold a candle against them, you'll have to delve into the Tower of Mirages, which replaces the Chaos Labyrinth. The tower, we're told, has tens of thousands of floors - and unlike the Chaos Lab, you're guaranteed an S-rank treasure for every single floor you beat (a ToM floor is literally one floor, while the Chaos Lab's "floors" consisted of about three dungeons worth of content and three major boss fights).

Now you might be thinking "awesome, I can finally max all the skills on my Sorceress - not so fast! While your higher levels grants you access to better gear, you won't earn any new skill points beyond those you had at level 99.Tough - but word from players who've gone hands-on with the patch say it grants more potions for re-speccing your character (with the Amazon's parry skill now granting her berserk levels, I'm considering putting more points in there..).

As usual, there are some tweaks to classes (the Dwarf and Amazon can now throw their axes instead of just slamming them into the ground with the circle button, and Amazon's tier 3 berserk speed has been buffed), but the "official patch notes" - as usual - do a terrible job of explaining the minutae, and keep things general.
