In closing:

First it was Thanos, then Ultron, then Doomsday, and now Apocalypse. Comics greatest baddies will finally grace the large screen in all their menacing glory. Just a month ago, I saw Apocalypse 1st app. going for 20 bucks at VF, now they are averaging $50. Buy them cheap at some unsuspecting comic store bin or sell them high right now on Ebay! I do have a VF copy that I purchased along with Gambit's first in Fine + for 30 bucks as a set several years ago. Will sell X-factor#6 now.

X-Men Alpha- now is the time to stock up on this one, buy at no more than cover price. This one had insane print runs and can be virtually found anywhere. The chromium cover by Joe Mad, isn't shabby either.

I suspect Escape From Jesus Island #1 with its micro print run, will send buyers at a frenzy at Ebay after release. The art is horrifically amazing, and has been getting raves from Clive Barker. I don't see it selling at TFAW. Nothing on EBay either. Try calling your LCS and reserve one (or more today).Grab at least 2 copies. I'M LETTING YOU KNOW NOW IN ADVANCE.

Lunita#1 to me is a toss up, the story is not radically original. However you never know what fans will gravitate to. That, and its very very low print run, may cause this book to heat up. Grab 1 copy.

JL 3000#1, I'm very nostalgic for Howard Porter art (Grant Morrison's run with him on art, was arguably the finest run ever). Even though it will sell well, it'll have a huge print run. So if you are on a budget this week, just go and pick it up some other time. There should be enough copies on the shelves for next week.

Krampus#1 another toss up. Typically, festive comics don't have huge after market demand...however this seems to be a lot more than that. Ongoing series to boot! Pick up a copy.

Dead Body Road #1- if it promises to be a a well crafted story and generates enough interest- it may be a solid sleeper. Pick up a copy.

ASM #700.2- No brainer. Key Spidey issue will always have after market value, he has the most rabid fans of all collectors.I believe #700.3also comes out today as well (weird?), get both. However, if you have to pick, get the former. AMENDED: INSPITE OF THE MISLEADING SYNOPSIS- ITS A SPIDEY FLASHBACK STORY WITH PETER PARKER, NOT IN-CONTINUITY.

WWE#1- What can I say about this one? Previous attempts at WWE based comics have been lack luster and never huge back issue demand. That being said, its Mick Foley (previous New York Time Best Seller), and the story is really clever. Maybe this time, it'll be a hit. Grab one copy.

The Other Dead #1- First issue sold out, but the variant 'Obama with guns' cover is what folks want. Get this one for the regular 'Obama with guns' cover. Get 1 copy.

Overall, not a shabby week. Nothing really stands out to me except a comic that will come out 2 weeks from now (Escape From Jesus Island #1). Of the lot, Dead Body Road #1 looks most promising to me...we'll just have to wait and see folks!

Until Next Week,
