4. Deceivers#1 (of 6)(BOOM!)

Releasing: December 25th 2013

WHY? Low print run.

SYNOPISIS: WHY WE LOVE IT: Everybody loves a good underdog story, and we're no exception. Make that double for your classic Robin Hoodstyle 'steal from the rich, give to the poor' yarns, and when you couple that with Steven Grant's (2 GUNS) crackling dialogue and beautiful artwork from ? We couldn't resist!

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT: DECEIVERS is a globetrotting espionage action/comedy populated by charming, clever characters and thrilling sleight of hand, perfect for fans of films like Catch Me if You Can and the Ocean's 11 series.

WHAT IT'S ABOUT: Lincoln McCord and Prince Adony Zaruka are two American con men living abroad in Europe, posing as an oil magnate and the descendant of long-lost royalty to live the high life by leeching off the European elite. But when an international thief begins wreaking havoc on their marks, the deceivers are enlisted by a rogue CIA agent to help entrap him. (TFAW)

In Closing,

Pretty quiet week, but Marvel makes two entries into my weekly list in a very long time. I don't see a huge demand for either of these titles in the future but thought I'd add them in because they are afterall, Marvel number #1's. The Avengers, are the Flagship Marvel title nowadays and when they switch to a pseudo-imprint, could heat cause a price jump if the title remains hot (remember Ultimate Spider-man). Wolverine Origin II #1, remains to unfold, but if it explains origins of key villains of our favorite berserker mutant, then these issue could very well heat up us as well. With our pockets a little lighter this week, I would even tell you to forget both books, but if you had a choice, pick 1 copy of Origins II #1 over the former.

The Saviors and The Deceivers are from different publishers, but they don't seem very different in quality. Although I LOVE Robinson, but I don't think his book will be huge in the after market. May be a great story but without a tv series or movie option, the comic will just be that, a great book to read. Same goes for the latter title.

Until next time....keep hunting my pannapictagraphists!
