Friday

Friday, and yesterday it was Bill Foulkes' funeral. A united player who scored an own goal in the 1957 Maine Road derby, who City played a testimonial for in 1970/71, a 3-0 City win. A legend who played in an era when their players were generally respected. RIP Bill.

Guess what? Nic Anelka pic returned (which I sent to West Brom a few weeks) ago with signature though it's difficult to decipher!

Big one tomorrow, let's hope it's not 'after the Lord Mayor's show!' Here's the It's A Fix extract from KK210 :

SOME CELEB FANS : Piers Morgan, Johnny Rotten, Ray Davies, Roger Daltry, Colin Firth (or is he Spurs?), Tony Hadley, Barbra Windsor, Jack Whitehall, Bradley Walsh

LAST SEASON at The Emirates in January it was a 2-0 City win with goals from Milner (21) and Dzeko (32) who made up for his earlier penalty miss when their playerwas sent off. Vinny was also sent off later by Mike Dean but that was rescinded. Crowd was 60,107 with 2,399 Blues

FORM AT HOME TO ARSENAL : At The Etihad in September it was a 1-1 draw with goals from Lescott (40) but Koscielny (82) got the equaliser. Crowd was 47,318 with 2,847 Gooners.

We also lost to them 3-1 in a pre season friendly, when Vinny advised us that "you make think that Giraud would be top scorer and Arsenal will win the league, but that won't happen"

There's been 16 games in the Prem and 4 wins (1-0 in 11/12 and 06/07, 3-0 in 2008/09, 4-2 in 09/10, So 4 wins 1 draw 2 losses in the last 7.

For City : DWLWWLW

COMMENT : For a club who reckon "you can't buy class" their fans went berserk at the start of the season after the 3-1 home defeat to Villa because they hadn't bought "class" Hypocrites. Anyway Ozil (EUR42.5M) came in as their only big buy, though the rest of the squad have pretty well all been bought. They got EUR8M for Gervinho, and Arshavan and Denilson also departed. This looks like being a cracker and a win would obviously be another fantastic result.

WWTWTWSHITE : Their crowds were down to an average of23,824 in 1985, and this season it's 59,969.
